WILL TRYOUTS BE REQUIRED?

Tryouts will not be required.

HOW ARE LEAGUE AGES DETERMINED?

League age is determined by the players age on September 1, 2007.

CAN THE PLAYER CHOOSE WHAT TEAM HE/SHE WILL BE ON?

Only siblings and coaches sons daughters can be on the same team all other players will be drafted.

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS REQUIRED?

Players are supplied with a NFL Jersey and a mouth piece, cleats are optional and recommended. Cleats may not be metal.

DO THE PLAYERS KEEP THE OFFICIAL NFL JERSEY?

Yes, players get to keep the jersey.

WHEN WILL THE SEASON START AND END?

Spring season will start the early April depending on weather, practices usually start within two weeks of draft (late March). The season usually ends around the end of May to early June. Fall season will start during the end of August and will run until the beginning of November. Practices will start at the middle of August for the fall season.

HOW OFTEN WILL THE PLAYERS MEET?

Players will usually meet once a week for practice and play one game per week. Practices are scheduled by the team coach and may be any weekday or weekend, games will be played on Sunday afternoons.

HOW LONG WILL PRACTICES AND GAMES TAKE?

We encourage coaches to practice for 60 to 90 minutes once a week, games are two 20 minute halves and are completed within one hour.

WHERE WILL THE GAMES AND PRACTICES BE HELD?

Games and practices will be within the Avon Grove School District when a location is secured. All games will be played at Crossan Park in the fall and spring season.

HOW ARE THE TEAMS FORMED?

Teams will be drafted around the the end of February, the couch will call within 48 hours after the draft is completed with team information.

CAN A PLAYER REMAIN ON THE SAME TEAM HE/SHE WAS DRAFTED ON THE PRIOR SEASON?

No, all players are drafted.

WILL THEIR BE ANY GAMES ON HOLIDAY WEEKENDS?

No.

ARE REFUNDS AVAILABLE IF A PLAYER DECIDES NOT TO PLAY?

No, refunds are not given, unless prior arrangements are made. Insurance and charter fees have to be paid directly after registration. Insurance companies or the NFL do not give refunds to the local leagues. You may however make arrangements during or prior to registration of special circumstances.

WHEN IS OPENING DAY AND WILL THEIR BE ANY OPENING DAY FESTIVITIES?

Opening day will be early April for the spring season, and early September for the fall season.

WHEN IS THE DEADLINE TO REGISTER?

Late registrations will not be accepted, check the registration page for cut-offs.

WILL ALL STAR AND TOURNAMENT GAMES BE PLAYED?

Yes, tournaments are played at the end of each season, coaches and players are responsible for drafting teams.

I CANNOT AFFORD THE FEES TO PLAY AG NFL FLAG FOOTBALL, WILL THEIR BE ANY SCHOLARSHIP MONEY AVAILABLE?

Players will never be turned away from playing AG NFL Flag Football. You must fill out a discount application. This must be completed ASAP, limited funds are available and are distributed as approved on a first come first serve basic. Call AG Flag Football at 610-869-3635 to request an application.
